International releases with "Little Tiger Press" Gift Books!

Early last Spring saw the release of my set of 6 gift books with Little Tiger Press.

These charming little books, were written by Josephine Collins, and Illustrated by myself. 

They were a range that were a real delight to work on, 

and my task was to illustrate each beautiful sentence written by Jo, 

with characters that expressed the true meaning of the sentiment. 

Many characters were developed throughout the range, 

and with 114 pages to work on, the ideas most certainly got flowing. 

The books have a patterned, padded icon as their cover, 

and a very sweet book mark on a ribbon, giving them a real gift feel. 

However, since their release in the UK, I am so thrilled to hear 

that they have now been re printed in 7 other countries, 

Brazil, 

Australia, 

Germany, 

Italy, 

France, 

Albania, 

and in the U.S, where they also have another version of the cover, 

which I am really pleased with, 

displaying some of the actual artwork within. 

These are a range that I was very proud to work on, 

and "To Mum with Love," even featured in The Sun newspaper 

earlier this year, believe it or not, as the ideal Mother's Day gift!!

Licensing Fair BLE 2013

This week, I exhibited my work for the first time at the 

Brand Licensing Fair at Olympia, 15th-17th October 2013.

I was very lucky to be alongside some other members of the AOI under the 

AOI banner, which was a great support network for the show. 

I met some fantastic people, and some who have inspired me greatly, and I am utterly delighted to say that I have also made some very exciting contacts, which I will be following up over the next few weeks, and am very hopeful of the possibilities that may come.

Meet Mavis! 

I know that you may have met Mavis before if you have visited my blog,

 

But she is a real fav of mine, and I definitely want to try and elaborate on her, 

 

I am working on a new idea, hopefully in time for Frankfurt, 

that will hoepfully bring Mavis more to life. 

Plus I have another idea that I wish to work into a picture book, 

about another character you may have been introduced to, Henrietta the cat!

Working with The Fire-Brigade

I was delighted to see the design that I had worked on 

for Haywards Heath Fire-Brigade, 

brought to life at our local Village Day, and being enjoyed by so many children. 

This goal will be used in schools throughout Sussex to help promote 

Safety awareness, through football and team work.

Working on this project was something really quite different for me, 

and very enjoyable too. 

This certificate is what each child who takes part in the event, will receive.
